Intro
Der XIAOMI MI PRO HD 2 ist dem IV HYBRID verdammt ähnlich. Das betrifft den Klang, Design und Kabel. Hier gibt es nur ganz feine Unterschiede im Klang, was schlussendlich eine Geschmacksfrage ist, wenn man diese ausmachen kann. Der PRO HD 2 setzt wie der IV HYBRID auf einen Dynamischen und einen Balanced Armature Treiber.
Handling
Im Grunde gibt es unter den drei verschiedenen Modellen keine großen Unterschiede was die Handhabung und die Verarbeitungsqualität betrifft. Sie unterscheiden sich im Großen und Ganzen durch die verendete Kontrolleinheit mit integriertem Mikrophon, wobei es sich beim IV Hybrid und dem PRO HD 2 ebenso um das gleiche Remote-Design handelt.
Die Remote des PRO HD 2 ist gut erreichbar und bedienbar. Allerdings könnten die einzelnen Tasten sich besser separieren zur zielsichereren Bedienung. Das Kabel ist nicht abnehmbar und hinter dem Y-Splitt mit Stoff umwickelt. Klassischer Budget-Standard, aber recht solide, auch was die Verständlichkeit des Mikros anbelangt.
Der PRO HD 2 kommt wie auch der PRO HD in einem aufklappbaren Case, worin er in einer praktischen Silikontransporthilfe aufgewickelt zusammen mit den Tips verpackt ist. Der PRO HD 2 besitzt zudem als einziger einen L-Plug-Klinkeanschluss.
Die XIAOMI Hybrid-Modelle sind etwas zickig, wenn es um den richtigen Sitz geht. Die Schallöffnungen sind nicht mit allen Tips kompatibel, da sie etwas kleiner sind als der Standard-T400 Aufsatz und dadurch die Tips auch mal runter rutschen können. Daher ist es nicht garantiert, das man einen gute Isolation und Sitz erreicht um auch den vollen Klang zu genießen, aber es ist definitiv möglich!
Sound
Was hat sich klanglich zum IV HYBRID geändert? Nun die mittleren Höhen wurden etwas abgesenkt, bei gleichem Peakverlauf und dafür im oberen Hochton um die 8 kHz etwas dazu gelegt. Das sorgt für mehr Klarheit, aber auch für die hellere Ausrichtung.
Der Bass ist quasi der des IV HYBRID. Eine ganz gute Mischung aus Tiefe, Punch und Spaßfaktor, aber es fehlt etwas die Straffheit und Texturierung. Subjektiv wirkt der Bass des PRO HD 2 noch etwas brummiger, aber das kann auch mit den etwas reduzierteren Höhen zusammen hängen. Ansonsten bleibt alles beim Alten. Der Bass ist recht weich und nicht der schnellste, stellt aber grundlegend meinen Anspruch zufrieden. Er gibt der Musik den Schub, den sie manchmal braucht, kann es aber auch übertreiben.
Die Mitten sind auch hier zurück genommen, was Stimmen etwas distanzierter platziert und diese durch den Bass leicht aufgedickt werden. Auch hier kann ich keinen bemerkenswerten Unterschied zum IV HYBRID ausmachen. Weitestgehend natürlicher, warmer Klang mit Aufhellung im oberen Bereich. Dazu kommt eine gute Detailwiedergabe, Transparenz und durchschnittliche Separation.
Die Höhen sind trotz des Pushes im oberen Hochton zwar noch entspannt, aber kommen etwas mehr zur Geltung. Das macht den PRO HD 2 im Vergleich zum IY HYBRID etwas heller, aber suggeriert auch eine größere Auflösung auch wenn sich an der durchschnittlichen Erweiterung nichts ändert. Sie werden etwas heißer, was Sibilanten betrifft und scheinen etwas metallischer, wodurch ihnen die Natürlichkeit leicht abhandenkommt, aber nie unangenehm, oder anstrengend.
Die Bühne des PRO HD 2 ist weiter als tief und weder zu intim, noch verloren, aber auch hier sollte man nicht allzu viel erwarten. Solide.
Outro
Der HD PRO 2 ist nicht unbedingt ein klangliches Upgrade zum IV HYBRID. Dadurch, dass die Höhen die Signatur zum einen sehr hell erscheinen lassen und der Bass aber gleichzeitig für ein breites Bassfundament sorgt, klingt der HD PRO 2 etwas unausgeglichen und unnatürlich. Nicht so mein Fall, aber auch hier sei gesagt, das der HD PRO 2 ein solider In-Ear ist, wenn man keinen zu großen Anspruch hat und dadurch eventuell umso mehr überrascht sein wird. Er besitzt mehr Klarheit als der IV HYBRID und wirkt etwas aufgeräumter, aber leicht auf Kosten von Natürlichkeit und Volumen. Nicht ganz so geeignet für Rock, Hardcore etc, aber sicherlich ganz gut für Pop, Singer-Songwriter, EDM und so weiter.
Intro
The XIAOMI MI PRO HD 2 is damn similar to the IV HYBRID. This concerns the sound, design and cables. Here there are only very subtle differences in sound, which is ultimately a matter of taste, if you can make it out. Like the IV HYBRID, the PRO HD 2 uses a dynamic and a balanced armature driver.
Handling
Basically, there are no major differences between the three different models in terms of handling and quality of workmanship. They differ mainly in the control unit with integrated microphone, but the IV Hybrid and the PRO HD 2 also have the same remote design.
The remote of the PRO HD 2 is easy to reach and operate. However, the individual buttons could be better separated for more accurate operation. The cable is not detachable and is wrapped in fabric behind the Y-split. Classic budget standard, but quite solid, also in terms of the intelligibility of the microphone.
Like the PRO HD, the PRO HD 2 comes in a fold-out case, where it is wrapped in a practical silicone transport aid and packed together with the tips. The PRO HD 2 is also the only one with an L-plug jack connector.
The XIAOMI hybrid models are a bit bitchy when it comes to the right fit. The sound holes are not compatible with all tips, because they are a bit smaller than the standard T400 attachment and therefore the tips can slide down. Therefore it is not guaranteed that you get a good isolation and fit to enjoy the full sound, but it is definitely possible!
Sound
What has changed in sound to the IV HYBRID? Well, the mid-range trebles have been lowered a bit, while the peak response remains the same, but the upper treble around 8 kHz has been added. This provides more clarity, but also a brighter alignment.
The bass is practically that of the IV HYBRID. It's a good mixture of depth, punch and fun factor, but lacks a bit of tightness and texture. Subjectively, the PRO HD 2's bass looks a bit grumpier, but that could also be due to the somewhat reduced treble. Apart from that, everything remains the same. The bass is quite soft and not the fastest, but basically satisfies my demands. It gives the music the push it needs sometimes, but can also overdo it.
The mids are also reduced here, which places voices a bit more distant and makes them slightly thicker due to the bass. Again I can't make out any remarkable difference to the IV HYBRID. Mostly natural, warm sound with brightening in the upper range. In addition there is a good reproduction of details, transparency and average separation.
Despite the push in the upper treble, the highs are still relaxed, but come out a bit more. This makes the PRO HD 2 a bit brighter in comparison to the IY HYBRID, but also suggests a higher resolution even if the average expansion doesn't change. They get a bit hotter in terms of sibilants and seem a bit more metallic, which makes them lose their naturalness slightly, but they never become unpleasant or exhausting.
The PRO HD 2's stage is wider than deep and neither too intimate nor lost, but here again you shouldn't expect too much. Solid.
Outro
The PRO HD 2 is not necessarily a sonic upgrade to the IV HYBRID. Due to the fact that the treble makes the signature sound very bright on the one hand and the bass provides a broad bass foundation on the other hand, the PRO HD 2 sounds a bit unbalanced and unnatural. Not so my case, but also here it has to be said that the PRO HD 2 is a solid in-ear, if you don't have too much demand and therefore you might be even more surprised. It has more clarity than the IV HYBRID and looks a bit tidier, but slightly at the expense of naturalness and volume. Not so suitable for rock, hardcore etc., but certainly quite good for pop, singer-songwriter, EDM and so on.
