Intro
Die MOXPAD X9 sind nun schon etwas älter (2016) und zählen mit zu den ersten Anschaffungen zu Beginn meiner Sammelleidenschaft.
Da sie im Netz so gut wie gar nicht vertreten sind, was Erfahrungsberichte betrifft, habe ich sie hervorgekramt und noch einmal ausgiebig getestet.
Handling
Die X9 sind in ihrer Verarbeitung eher etwas rustikal, was bedeutet, dass sie jetzt nicht besonders edel wirken, noch Premiummaterialien verwendet wurden. Einfaches Plastik, welches optisch an einen geschliffenen Stein erinnert prägt das Äußere des X9.
Nun ist es natürlich auch Geschmackssache und auch eine Frage des Komforts, ob es immer Metall sein muss, denn dadurch steigt natürlich auch das Gewicht. Die X9 tragen sich wunderbar. Man vergisst schnell, dass man sie trägt, aufgrund der Passform und dem Gewicht, allerdings nicht durch das mitgelieferte Kabel.
Dieses leiden an der Knowledge -Zenith-Krankheit und habt einen Metallsteifen zur Stabilisierung über dem Ohr. Das ist nicht nur unhandlich, sondern auch nicht sonderlich bequem, da sich das Metall auch leicht wieder verbiegt und seinen Halt verlieren kann. Dazu ist ds Kabel von der steiferen Sorte. Hier lohnt es wirklich sich ein weiteres MMCX-Kabel zuzulegen, falls man es nicht bereits besitzt. Da die X9 mit 15 € recht preiswert sind, ist für die Anschaffung auch noch etwas Budget drin.
Die Isolation ist durchschnittlich, je nachdem welche Lautstärke man bevorzugt und wie größ die Umgebungslautstärke ist.
Klang
Der Klang der X9 ist warm, leicht bassbetont, etwas hell in den Höhen und luftig mit einer V-Signatur.
Der Bass kann mit Präzision punkten und ist in seinem Spektrum ausgewogen. Der Mittenbass ist leicht betont, allerdings kommt der Sub-Bass auch sauber rüber und fällt erst unter den 40 Hz merkbar ab. Bei knapp über 20 Hz ist dann auch Schluss. Er ist schnell, punktiert und im Gesamtklangbild angenehm abgestimmt.
Die unteren Mitten sind nicht so prominent wie die Höheren, wodurch es manchmal etwas dünn wird. Die Stärken des X9 liegen sicherlich nicht im Detailreichtum der Mitten, sondern eher bei Genres wo die Mitten nicht die größte Rolle spielen, bzw. sich dort meistens nicht der Hauptteil der Musik abspielt (POP, EDM, ELEKTRO).
Die oberen Mitten sind wiederum mehr betont, haben jedoch nur selten unangenehme Peaks. Dadurch sind Stimmen trotz ihrer Distanziertheit gut positioniert, aber auch etwas zu intim. Generell kann man behauten, dass es den Mitten an Körper fehlt.
Die Höhen sind hell, aber nicht die detailliertesten. Dennoch sind die angenehm luftig und die Separation funktioniert im Zusammenspiel mit den Mitten ganz gut, auch wenn es mal etwas anspruchsvoller wird. Sie haben eine ganz gute Erweiterung, allerdings ist diese auch nur Durschnitt in dem Preissegment. Mehr Brillanz würde das Klangbild sicherlich noch einmal interessanter machen. Es ist durchaus möglich sich über Stunden hinweg Musik mit den X9 anzuhören, ohne dass es ermüdend wird, wenn man es nicht mit der Lautstärke übertreibt und so die tieferen Höhen/höheren Mitten nach vorne bringt.
Outro
Die Stärken des X9 liegen ganz klar im sauberen, tief spielenden Bass, der weder matschig wird noch zu sehr in die Mitten rutscht. Dir V-Signatur fällt für meinen Geschmack etwas zu stark aus, und es fehlt den Mitten trotz der wärme an Körper. Die Höhen wiederum machen es ganz gut, könnten aber noch etwas Spritzigkeit vertragen.
Für Tanzmusik jeglicher Art eignen sich die X9 sehr gut, ohne ihnen einen starken Bassheadfaktor zu attestieren und man kann mit ihnen sicherlich auch in anderen Genres arbeiten. Allerdings ist da die Wahrscheinlichkeit höher nicht das gewünschte Ergebnis zu erzielen. Ich würde sie nur bedingt für die Bühne empfehlen.
Intro
The MOXPAD X9 are now a bit older (2016) and belong to the first purchases at the beginning of my passion for collecting.
Since they are hardly represented in the net at all, as far as reports of experiences are concerned, I have them outcropped and tested again extensively.
Handling
The X9 are rather rustic in their workmanship, which means that they do not look particularly noble nor were premium materials used. Simple plastic, which reminds optically of a polished stone, characterizes the exterior of the X9.
Now it is of course a matter of taste and also a question of comfort whether it always has to be metal, because this of course also increases the weight. The X9s are wearing perfectly. You quickly forget that you're wearing them because of their fit and weight, but not because of the included cable.
It suffers from the Knowledge Zenith illness and has a metal stiffener for stabilization above the ear. This is not only unwieldy, but also not very comfortable, as the metal can easily bend again and lose its grip. The cable is of the stiffer type. Here it is worth buying another MMCX cable if you don't already have it. Since the X9 are quite inexpensive with 17 €, there is still some budget for the purchase.
The isolation is average, depending on which volume you prefer and how high the surrounding volume is.
Sound
The sound of the X9 is warm, slightly bass accentuated, slightly bright in the treble and airy with a v-signature.
The bass scores with precision and is balanced in its spectrum. The mid-bass is slightly accentuated, but the sub-bass also comes across cleanly and only drops noticeably below 40 Hz. At just over 20 Hz, the end is also reached. It is fast, dotted and pleasantly tuned in the overall sound spectrum.
The lower mids are not as prominent as the higher ones, which sometimes makes it a bit thin. The X9's strengths certainly don't lie in the richness of detail in the mid-range, but rather in genres where the mid-range doesn't play the most important role, or where most of the music doesn't play the main part (POP, EDM, ELEKTRO).
The upper mids are again more accentuated, but rarely have unpleasant peaks. Thus, despite their distance, voices are well positioned, but also a bit too intimate. In general, one can say that the midrange lacks body.
The highs are bright, but not the most detailed. Nevertheless, they are pleasantly airy and the separation works quite well in the interaction with the mids, even if it gets a bit more demanding. They have a quite good extension, but this is only average in the price segment. More brilliance would certainly make the sound even more interesting. It's quite possible to listen to music with the X9 for hours without getting tired if you don't exaggerate the volume and bring the lower treble/higher mids to the front.
Outro
The X9's strengths clearly are its clean, deep bass, which neither gets muddy nor slips too much into the midrange. The V-signature is a bit too strong for my taste, and the mids are missing body despite the warmth. The highs on the other hand do it quite well but could take a bit of sparkling. For dance music of any kind the X9 are very well suited, without a strong bass head factor to certify and one can work with them certainly also in other genres. However, there is a higher probability that the desired result will not be achieved. I would recommend them only conditionally for the stage.

Hier lasse ich vor allem die Durchhörbarkeit einfließen und ob ich ihn Out-Of-The-Box gut hören kann. Das ist natürlich sehr subjektiv und daher nur ein minimaler Abzug, oder Bonus.(-0.1, 0, +0.1)
